Compass to 2015
Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is a combined event that occurs in the United States on September 17 each year. On this day US citizens remember the blessings of liberty and are recognized for holding the responsibilities of citizenship. The students in Mrs. Wright-Owens’ and Mrs. Birdwell’s classes brainstormed and agreed upon a Classroom Constitution. Each student will sign it and the poster will be on display as a reminder of upholding the responsibility of citizenship here in school and in our amazing country. We celebrate the importance of this document and those who work hard to protect its meaning.

Our 4th graders from Mrs. Wright-Owens’ and Mrs. Birdwell’s class have a special Readers Theatre to share. It’s about a dilemma that occurs when planning a camping trip as it relates to the making of our U.S. Constitution.
