Once again students at Indian Lakes will be creating artwork for our school fundraiser. Packets of information and artwork will go home to parents on October 19th. Look for some amazing student created art!
As always, please save and recycle baby food jars with lids and plastic tubs with lids for the art room. I need them for our painting projects.

The Annual Virginia Beach Public Schools Elementary Student Art Show is on display at Pembroke Mall. It will be up until May 22nd. Please go an visit to see Indian Lakes artists!
Third grade art students at Indian Lakes Elementary School worked in groups to create these magnificent habitat murals! They researched their habitat, scketched and painted the natural land characteristics and then added the animals found in the habitat! What a fantastic job they did. Don’t forget to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art to see the Youth Art Month Exhibit! It will be displayed until the end of March.

Indian Lakes Elementary School partnered with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and hosted artist/educator Donna Iona Drozda for three days. Students enjoyed “I Spy with an Artist Eye” and working with right and left sides of the brain.
