My name is Heather Brooks, and I’m Indian Lakes Elementary’s Gifted Resource Teacher. This website is to help gifted kids and parents understand more about the gifted program in Virginia Beach, and gifted students in general.
As this blog evolves, expect to see specific information about what each grade level is doing. This will be supported with pictures and videos so that you’ll have the opportunity to ’see’ into your child’s classroom. I’ll also keep you updated on reseach, best practices in gifted education, and how you can support your gifted child at home.
