How to Books with Scribble Press

Last week I showed a small group of teachers gathered for” Appy” Hour Scribble Press. Students can write books which then can be added to your iBooks library. They can be emailed and shared in the general Scribble Press library. We thought

parents would enjoy this. For a fee Scribble Press will even make a hard copy of the book for you. That’s a great idea for grandparent gifts!

Here is one darling story, from Walter, who has been a “Thunderbird” for quite a while. I enjoyed very much the subject of his story. Getting it to this blog was quite time consuming. When we learn of an easier way I will add some more stories. As far as I know only two classes did this activity, Mrs. Miralles’ and Miss Nixon’s third grade classes. Kudos!

Mrs. Alexander’s Monsters

Mrs. Alexander’s Class participated in an online collaborative project called The Monster Project. Here you can see their original monsters (middle column), descriptions of their monsters, and the drawings a first grade class in Arizona drew from those descriptions. This was great practice with descriptive writing. Enjoy!
